What Movie Scared You The Most?

Just for shits and giggles... to see what people would say to this thread, what movie affected you so much in a scary way? there HAS to be some type of film; not just horror.. abstract, topic you have a phobia against, etc. that scared you, gave you that uneasy feeling and made you turn around to make sure there was no on behind you. OR if we have a group of brave people.. what movie scared you even a little?
Not sure if anyone cares but Psycho Scared the shit out of me. To this day, Whenever I can, I shower with the door open; and if possible I avoid showering at night.... CURTAINS! don't get me started! I saw this movie for the first time when I was at Universal Studios at the age of 5. that night my teeth were chattering as I stepped into the shower and peeked through the curtains every ten seconds to make sure there were no lunatics with a knife pointed at me.
Now it's Your Turn.

For shits and giggles, this is definitely a giggle, but Titanic gave me a serious fear of boats further then 30 feet from a shore... Yes, Titanic gave me a fear, sad lol...
Pet Sematary 1 and 2 did a good job of creeping me out around dead animals and burial sites... though not much
Slither didn't scare me necessarily, but it did a good job of grossing me out... I never saw the ending qaurter or so though cuz my little brother didn't want to watch it...
I'm not sure what movie I got this from, but I have an intense fear of having needles or knives of any sort near my wrists, honestly, I'd rather die or risk dying under and anesthetic before I get jab there...
Can't think of anymore, I'm sure there are, but I don't remember them...

[Rec] and The Descent are the scariest movies I've ever seen.

It takes quite a bit to scare me, so no movies I have seen really scare me.

by all means, finish watching slither.. good flick!

what scared me the most? well just for shits and giggles, (love that saying!!!) id have to say that hostile was a bit too gory for me, and i did watch silent hill at 4 a.m. remeber, 4 a.m.

I agree PvtCaboose91. "The Descent" was indeed creepy.
I personally found "The Exorcism Of Emily Rose" extremely creepy, but that is just my fear.

The Grudge

Hell yes! The Exorcism of Emily Rose was quite terrifying. I'll have to agree with you on that one. Was sitting in a dark room by myself and the suspense was almost unbearable.
We're in agreeance on that one, and on The Descent as well it seems.

Darkness Falls scary the crap out of me! i get really scared of scarying movies..

When I was about 12/13 yrs old the local Working Mens Club used to have a film night every Wednesday. Sometimes they'd show X-rated films, usually horror never porn, and they never had any sort of age restriction, so all the local kids used to get, pay our ten bob (50p) & get a chance to see some seriously scary films.
We watched stuff like Driller Killer & I Spit On Your Grave, these films got banned in the UK because of their scenes of graphic violence, and here was our local WMC letting all the kids in to watch 'em.
Anyhow the one film that really, really got me was Friday The 13th. It sh|t me up big time. After the film I run home like you never known, in the dark, up the gennels & alleys, I was off, no fooker was gonna get me, I was like the wind.
I jumped into bed & was under the covers. My mum hearing me come in & go to bed come up to say goodnight, thing is I didn't hear her come upstairs & as she pulled back the duvet I let out a blood-curdling scream of sheer terror. I don't know who was more scared me or her!!

Jesus Camp.

Never Heard of That One. Sleepaway Camp I Have, But Not Jesus Camp. Sounds Scary, It's Got The J Word In It.

Haha, it's a documentary about this really evangelical Christian camp, where they teach children essentially to hate everyone who isn't them. What really scared me was when the lady was like "If Harry Potter was alive, God would kill him!"
Oh man...
Oh man...

ummmmm i'd have to say.....the tooth fairy i watched that when i was like 10 and one night after i lost a tooth my mom came to put money under my covers and i like almost attacked her it was so freakin funny lol^^

im not afraid of scary movies thats all i watch in movies i never got scared of them for some reason.

Comon, youve never watched a movie all alone with the lights out and felt the slightest bit uncomfortable? That's like saying you never got emotional to a disney movie. if not, may I suggest watching the movie High Tension (if you havent already) in the dark by yourself.

I think there are certainly some people who just don't get scared. For me, I have a hard time separating what's real and what isn't when watching a movie, and when I watch a horror flick my imagination runs wild. Other people are better at seeing the movie as just a movie.
I know a lot of people who are like that - it's definitely possible.

I would also have to say "The Exorcism Of Emily Rose."
The Exorcism Of Emily Rose was one of the most terrifying.
Never do I want to watch it when there are shadows in a room.
That gave me the spooks...

Living in Louisiana watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacure scared the **** out of me! I just was freaked out the the fact that the guy lived less than 4 hours away from me. And could possibly still be alive...heading to my house...
And of course the first time watching The Exscorist I nearly collapsed.

haha, yea. many good new york films have been made; and too see footage of stuff shot where some of my friends grew up is amazingly scary!

IT - clowns with teeth are scary, sadly I'm not scared of spiders so the ending was a real let down!
Also didn't like swimming in the sea as a child after seeing Jaws!

The Tooth fairy and It were definetly frightening, but the one that scared me so much that I had nightmares for about two-three months was, just for shit and giggles,
Signs. Yes, Signs, the movie by the genius director, M. Knight Shamalan. I was young when I saw it, about twelve or thirteen, and it scared me pretty bad. I would hide under the covers until my mom came to tuck me in (I loved talking to my mom before I went to bed, sadly now she works late most days and I can't do that much anymore).
I remained motionless, the fear in my gut was so intense I couldn't breathe. I have a crazy and very vivid imagination, and I would always see them standing over me, waiting for the slightest movement in the covers so they can attack me....
=3 hehe, I'm sure most of you may find that hilarious as I do now, but it wasn't at the time. That movie was freaky, and I haven't watched it since XP.

DOOM, OK I might sound kiddish -_- but I was 8 at that time so gimme a break I nearly s***ted my pants. Then's this movie called... Stay Alive, was it? Where people die by losing a computer game.
Silent Hill, oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, that's another one -_-
The Exorcist really frightened me, no comments.
You get this sort of adrenaline when you watch a horror movie at night you feel someone is behind you when you're alone.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
That must have really scared me because I didn't watch the full movie for like 5 weeks. My mother made huge fun of me because I was so scared; I guess because it's a real story, is why it scared me. But I'm atheist, so. I don't know.

I just got 30 days of night, and I plan on watching it eventually, supposedly a scary ass vampire movie :P
Sasaki, it's called Fear, Paranoia and How believable the movie is,
Those all play a huge factor in that adrenaline :P

Nothing scares me much these days but when I was younger these one's scared me:
Hellraiser (nothing like a skinless man walking around during most of the movie)
Unnameable (I laugh at it now)
Exorsist
The Fly (remake)
The Thing (remake)

I've never been scared by a movie but I would say watching the Friday the 13th movies by myself when i was younger living in the backwoods made me a little paranoid.

Word, do your thing Mr. Voorhees

My dad had us watching Alien at age 7 or something. My younger brother still sleeps with the quilt over his face so facehuggers can't get him while he sleeps ^___^

That is Awesome! fear like that is something rare, and I love getting that feeling, looking over my shoulder every two seconds; The movie entitled Madman did that to me recently.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) until I saw Signs (2002).

The Shining
Texas chainsaw massacre (1974)
The Thing (1982)
Tesis
The Ring (2002)
El Orfanato
The Others
Shutter (2004)

The Exorcist and Pet Sematary scared the shit out of me.

To get scared from a movie, I have to watch alone and with lights turned off. And even then I can only recall 4 titles:
- Mulholland Dr.: The scene with the narrated nightmare. In the moment this weird guy shows up behind the edge...booya!
- Ringu I-III: I watched the whole trilogy back-to-back alone and in the dark. In that night I coudn't sleep anymore, tumbled up, turned the lights on and went THEN to sleep. :D

Well, for me the scariest movie have to be The Shining & Psycho!

very good call on those two Kris!!

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)

Alien scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid... who am I kidding it STILL scares the shit out of me.

Halloween II. When I was super young, a friend of mine wanted to watch this movie because her parents rented it and she wanted to see it before they took it back. So, when her parents went out for a couple of hours, she invited me over and we sat down to watch it. I was scared to death!! For the longest time afterwards, every time I saw the simple, plain white mask in Halloween catalogs, it would send shivers down my spine.
Nowadays, I am a pretty big horror fan, but I still have not been able to watch any part of the series. I think it's mostly from lack of time as opposed to lack of courage. I do have plans to at least watch a couple of the movies this Halloween, tho.

Ichi the Killer just because of the parts were quite disgusting in it but still a great movie just wish I had the uncut version as the version I own was cut.

Probably The Shining. I watched that movie when I was 12. I was home alone for the weekend and saw it on Friday night. It scared the hell out of me for days, I'll never forget Jack Nicholson's crazy face.

Im a big wuss, I even got scared by leprecon in the hood :(
I saw it when I was younger and it haunts me till this day. lol.
