How about in addition to 'Similar members based on your ratings' a 'Similar members based on common owned/wanted' ie who owns the same cds/games/movies/books as me or wants the same cds/games/movies/books (maybe not as practical?) as me. Maybe someone else has already brought it up or you've already got it in your queue. You're already sort of doing this with 'Other people who own or want'; just take that info, aggregate it and format it like the 'Similar members' list.

Optional color themes would be cool in the future.

This is on the todo list on the main group page, I will offer a few options to begin with and maybe more control in the future.
I kind of like how uniform the site is. If I am browsing through other peoples' lists it would be shock to have the colours change everytime I hit a new one. :/

It will be for the profile only and I am considering allowing people to disable the custom styles.

It pretty much works this way already except it takes in to account ratings of each item. It could be interesting though as an alternative list.

Oh yay! I think you're the only one who knows what I mean, haha.

It's only for a member's profile. You know how your main page is green and yellow? I mean to have an optional choice of changing these colors when you edit your profile. There could be like a list of perhaps maybe 5 or 7 + colors that you can mess with. Say if you like blue, both colors will change from dark blue to a lighter blue and if I want pink, mine will be dark pink or light pink. Or perhaps just one color will cover the green and yellow spots to another light color.

I'm not asking for all these big changes like on MS, with different/odd background colors or wallpapers, big/small font, images all over, bright bulky colors on every little part of the profile or different layouts. It's nothing of the sort, just a random optional use for members to use...to help make their profile more different and personal.

Once Tom gets it finished everyone will then probably understand what I mean, but it won't be all this enabled html and all different kindsa coding you gotta tweak/mess with, just a drop down menu with random colors that covers only the yellow and green spots.

I would love to see track listings.. I would love to use listal as a replacement for Delicious Library, and that's one of the main things holding me back.

I rent movies alot, so alot of the movies I "owned" have just been rented - also you need to build some computer software that can intergrate with this ASAP!!

Holy crap, this would be awesome.

The MOST important new upgrade would be to add the number of films in a collection... not just the number of DVD's. This is an issue that has to do with box sets. The Alien Quadrilogy has 4 films in it, yet it only shows up as a single DVD. This makes it hard to really judge how many films you have in your collection.

BTW - great site!

Orbstra - that's what the "movies" catetory is for; movies you've seen (borrowed/rented/seen in theater) but don't own.

Having the ability to delete mail would be awesome...

How about something simple (or atleast should be). First a "check all" button or checkbox to select every checkbox in the list of items you are viewing. I have been going through and adding all my cd's to my music list. After adding over 200 I realized I must check each one individually (200+ times) in order to add them to my CD's list.

Second, adding tags to multiple entries at one time.

Third and least important right now. How about a Software list also.

Thanks for the great site/app. So far I love it!

Hi, I remember a little while back talk of offering a No Rating option when looking at recommendations. I ask because I get offered books I already own, because they are some other edition or whatever. If I haven't read the book yet, I can't recommend it, but I also don't want to say "Not Interested" because I want to still receive recommendations based on the book. Any suggestions? Also, do you have any information on if/when you'll be implementing such a feature? Thanks again for the great service.

Marking as not interested will just prevent it from being shown again, I am pretty sure it doesn't influence future recommendations.

It would be nice to be able to export our catalog holdings to either CSV or Excel. RSS is great for plugging collections into a sidebar on a blog, but I'd like to be able to back-up my holdings, tags, watched/unwatched/watching status at home without having to learn XSLT.
