i second that. deleted messages as shown right now still clutter a thread.

i for one would like to know what exactly a moderator is allowed to do at the moment.

at the moment the mods can lock threads, delete threads (they completely dissapear), delete invidiual posts (some clutter remains as was mentioned).

Deleting images, videos, and reviews is being tested (was working a while back, but currently doesnt), and a 24 or 48hr posting ban is coming soon so we can zip up certain users before they go ahead and destroy a dozen threads.

IP Banning and account deletion is still only Tom's area (and best to leave it as such) but some spam account and problem users I've reported to him he dealt with it in a day or so).

Eventually, would like to see ability for mods to delete out bogus entries and/or duplicates from the database.

oh, and I should mention, threads and posts dont actually get deleted, but get hidden form everyone else. Mods will soon be able to undelete threads as well. (right now, we can lock, unlock, or delete)

a few suggestions for mods:

- temporary banning in case of heavy abuse, like spamming (until tom can investigate the case and either ban the user permanently or delete him)

- a separate, admin and moderator-only "admin"-group where tom and the administrators can discuss various administrative topics (discussions via private messages are tedious and leave out other moderators)

- permanent deletion of posts in a thread (maybe with some logging when done so, to prevent abuse by moderators) because those posts marked with "This message has been deleted. Reason:" still clutter a thread

@tom: the star is a good idea, but make it in another color so you see on the first look that it's different from VIP ;).

I vote for a nice Red star. has a nice authoritative feel to it . ;)

i second that, even a "Listal GOD" would suit him. the star should have rainbow colors to show tom's omnipotence (across all colors) :D.

GemLil has a point. We need to be a bit international on our mod team (for time-zone purposes mostly). Probably a brit or two and maybe someone from down under (anyone from there?). But for god's sake, no yanks. They do a good enough job 'policing' the world. :)

Its more than a hate thing, for maximum mod efficiency we need a broad coverage of time zones, effectively 24-hour modding.

A few weeks ago, a member called Listal Faggot logged on and started posting loads of pornographic and obscenely violent and bloody images in the Anime Chatroom. Then he started loads of threads ripping into pretty much every race/religion/ethnicity it could think of.

Tom wasn't present at the start so loads of people were complaining and starting threads in GD and Lital Development saying 'What can we do?' 'We have to stop him.'

I came forward and said that once Tom shows up. He can just ban Listal Faggots IP Address. VV started panicing.

"oh no, I have the same IP Address as him..."

Vincent was also one of the members starting these 'we have to stop him threads'. VV claims it was his 'brother' that did it all and now he is claiming that it was an Anon.

Truth of the matter is, The User Vincent Valentine is a Fucking Loser who thinks we are dumb enough to believe his lies. He is unintelligent and still sticks around hoping to be a Mod.
