Here is the list ladies and gents:

The Top Villains of Cinema

As started in the first thread, this community project is to gather the worst, insidious, disgusting villains on the cinematic screen. So far we've had over 20 members contribute but I'd like to see some more of you guys involved to get a better sample.

So for any members who haven't contributed, I'm gonna make it easier to join in by only asking for 1 nomination with unlimited backings (as usual). The list below contains all the nominated villains so if there is someone missing, be sure to nominate them for the good of the project!

A nomination consists of a description of why they are a fantastic villain, followed by their most notorious act.

The Joker
Portrayed by Heath Ledger.


The Dark Knight
Inspiringly evil in a maniacal and chilling way, The Joker is not only the greatest threat to society but he does it with style. Ledger’s performance was monumental for the restart of the Batman franchise and an even more legendary Joker is exactly what it needed! He claims he isn’t a schemer but we all know that everything was working out perfectly for this insane genius.

Most Notorious Act: Creating extreme ultimatums for Batman and the innocents of Gotham.

reason: are you serious? i mean the worst this "villain" did was to play the "antagonist" in a bad comedy. sure, if silly dialogue could kill, this villain would be worse than Genghis Khan, but without that being the case just remove him from the list.

I was just writing another thread and it hit me that I had forgotten histories biggest monster, I'm nominating;

Biff Tannen - Back to the Future

The bullish ignoramus that gets by in life by intimidating and bullying. Biff can usually be found with a couple of cronies to help do his bidding. Biff particularly preys on the weak and weedy looking, making him a bit of a coward himself. The Tannens have been the scourge of Nerds throughout history, but nobody can doubt, with his high-school high-jinx, Biff is the baddest.

Most Notorious Act: Sexual harassment and subsequent molestation of Lorraine (Baines) McFly.

Whilst others may have moments of villainy, Damien is evil incarnate. Born from a jackal, son of the devil and destined to become the antichrist. Damien is the greatest threat to humanity! Even though a mere child, he is not innocent and anyone posing a threat is killed without mercy. Few child actors could play such a huge role so well as Harvey Stephens.

Most Notorious Act: When his step-mother becomes pregnant with another child, Damien knocks her off a balcony with his tricycle and the unborn baby is killed.

Disturbing character with evil intentions and a very cruel way of viewing things. Resentments and greed drove this character to great despair. Daniel Day-Lewis won an Oscar for Best Actor in this role.

"I drink your milkshake" scene. Suffice to say, it's literally not about milkshakes.

A mysterious assassin hired by the alliance to reclaim River Tam and bring her back to their holding facilities. By any means necessary.

Most Evil Act: Besides working for a an oppressive government that caused the death of millions, he made a prison official throw himself on a samurai sword. Which...ya know....besides being evil, is just pretty damn badass.

J.D. - Heathers



Wins the heart of depressed young Veronica with a very dark proposal:The solution to all the people who make your school days a living hell? Kill em all, Baby.

Most Evil Act - Attempting to blow up the school in a powerful final act of vengeance.

Gmork
Voiced by Alan Oppenheimer


The Neverending Story

When I first watched this film, I cannot explain the terror I felt when the Gmork was on the screen. When he almost catches Atreyu in the Swamps of Sadness, I was quaking!

The Gmork serves the Nothing which is trying to see the end of Fantastica and all living things within it. The Gmork is sent to kill the only person who can stop the Nothing, a task he relishes in. He is a being without a world of his own and travels throughout many others not caring about what his actions will do. He has no remorse and lives to destroy.

Most Notorious Act: Relentlessly trekking across all of Fantastica for the boy, Atreyu, who he is told to kill. Even when he loses him, he still hunts him down.

Micheal is a psycopathic killer from a young age. From the first film we learn he can kill anyone without a second thought. He has survived through several films and not sustaining a single hindering injury. His music theme as he stalks all of his victims alone makes him an iconic villain and the opening scene from the original film solidifies his status as a sinister enemy.

Baddest deed: His first kill, it was his sister! as far as I'm concerned it was evil and unprovokd. It was all for his own delight.

The Lord of the Rings

The rock and pool, is nice and cool, so juicy sweet. Our only wish, to catch a fish, so juicy sweet.

The decaying hobbit has been obsessing about his precious for over 500 years. His entire life was devoted to keeping the ring for himselfs. Gollum lived a pitiful existence at the core of a mountain for most of his unnaturally long life but by chance he lost it and made it his soul purpose to get it back by whatever means necessary.

Always lurking in the shadows, he waited until Frodo and Sam were alone before he made his move. He slowly seeded descent between the two friends and took them to the dark places of Middle-Earth where no one else would want to go.

Most Notorious Act: Murdering his cousin for possession of the Ring.

simply because she is beautiful, angelic and... unredeemably evil... a truly unstable, pathologically jealous, narcissistic, cold-blooded femme fatale in a modern Greek tragedy.

Million Dollar Baby

Billy the Blue Bear is the WBA women's welterweight champion. She is infamous for playing foul and illegal attacks behind the referee's back. Maggie Fitzgerald, supported by her Coach Frankie Dunn, has overcome personal struggles in the past and is now a fast rising star in the welterweight scene. The championship belt is her ultimate goal and she is determined to win it at a fight against Billy the Blue Bear.

Maggie fights well against Billy and gives her a hard time. Just when things looks best for Maggie, Billy attacks her during a ring break and catches her off guard. Maggie falls onto a stool and gets paraplegic because of this. She will never be able to move her body again.

Most notorious act:
Destroying the life of Maggie by an illegal attack which causes a severe injury and ultimately leads to her death

All the patients follow who rules placidly until R.P. McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) joins the ward. Ratched catches on to his game and figures out ways to make his life more difficult.

Owner of a pie-shop on Fleet Street who knew Sweeney before his incarceration, and vows to help him get revenge, though she has other plans in mind for him as well.

Most Notorious Act: Baking human-meat filled pies and selling them to London town for a hefty profit.


Not sure about who I want to unback yet, so I'll hold onto that for now, but there's three more for folks to think about... :)

I haven't read this entire list but has anyone mentioned Vincent D'Onofrio as Pooh-Bear in The Salton Sea?
