“A truly great single disc collection chronicling the best of America’s favorite “tacky dance band from Georgia,” as they have labeled themselves over the years. There doesn’t seem to be anything major missing, although there’s not enough Whammy! for my taste. No room for “Legal Tender” or “Whammy Kiss”? I suppose a bit more Bouncing Off the Satellites like “Wig” or “Girl from Ipanema Goes to Greenland” wouldn’t be out-of-place, either. But Time Capsule is still unbelievably strong even without these songs.   This adheres to their longstanding place in the pop lexicon as an alternative pop band for the masses.
