The Broken Journey (Uttoran)

While elitist general practioner Dr. Nihar Sen Gupta is traveling to a lecture, his car suffers a flat tire. As the tire is being fixed, the doctor discovers a breathless man lying by the side of the road. With little sympathy, the doctor decides to send the man back to his own village for treatment. As some fellow villagers arrive to take the man away, Dr. Gupta is dismayed to discover that they intend to have a witch doctor treat the man. During his unexpected detour to the village, Dr. Gupta is shocked to witness the exorcism, and is forced to confront his own moral and medical beliefs.
