Films Watched 2016 (45 movies items)"I wouldn't call this a horror movie but more of a psychological thriller. Mere semantics you might say but it better prepares you for what you're getting into. The effects of isolation were more prominent in this adaptation than any spirits or supernatural. Kubrick's style is spectacular. The cinematography and art direction brilliant especially in the bar scene, bathroom scene and tour of the hotel. However, the plot stalls for me and I was just not entertained throughout the picture. 6/10 "
