“Seven Samurai el film mas famoso del aclamado Akira Kurosawa, y considerada como la mejor película de samurais de la historia. Su reconocimiento es tan grande, que la ponen en un pedestals junto a El ciudadano Kane o El padrino. Veremos que tan merecido sean tales honoríficos.

En un inicio no parece la gran cosa, un pueblo que recluta a mercenarios para protegerlos de unos bandidos por cuestiones de honer es una trama muy cliché para este punto. Pero tal aseveración se desmorona cuando se toman en cuenta dos cosas: primero, que dichos clichés fueron establecidos por este mismo film hace años antes que cualquier otro; y segundo, que su desarrollo lo vuelve todo mas complicado y serio que la generica fantasia de epoderamiento sobre salvar al debil de las garras del ruín.
