On Christmas Eve, a little girl named Marie (Cohen) falls asleep after a party at her home and dreams herself (or does she?) into a fantastic world where toys become larger than life. Her beloved Nutcracker (Culkin) comes to life and defends her from the Mouse King, then is turned into a Prince after Marie saves his life.

"DECEMBER 13: The ballet featured here was pretty good. The acting...not so much. In fact the actual actors' ballet movements were not as fluid and graceful as those from the ballet which detracted from the story. However, I rated it high due to the really beautiful set pieces, despite the stage setting, and the ballet performance. I have yet to actually see this story performed live at a ballet performance."
