“To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast involved, I thought I might as well check it out. To start with, except for Bella Thorne, pretty much all the actors involved were about 10 years too old which is obviously a recurring issue with this genre. Seriously, I will never understand why they refuse to cast some teenagers to play some actual teenagers in such movies. However, even more problematic was the fact that the concept turned out to be terribly generic and predictable. Film Journal 2015 (112 movies items)" In case you've yet to see this, "D.U.F.F." stands for "designated ugly, fat friend." It was waaaay funnier than I thought it would be. The main actress is reminiscent of Amanda Bynes in her physical comedy. It brought me back to good high school movies like Can't Hardly Wait. I'll definitely be watching this again."

(365 movies items)"This may be your usual, typical and cliché teen flick in that the plot is more or less the same story of a not hot girl (called a Designated Ugly Fat Friend) who tries to change herself then loses her 2 best friends but finally discovers that this isn't who she is and ends up with the guy who she did not fancy in the first place. Cons: REALLY stupid; the main "high school" character (played by Mae Whitman) looks well into her 20's (Whitmoan was, in fact, well into her 20's); not particularly memorable, overall."
