" Notes: Honestly, it has been a while since I have seen this flick and I should definitely re-watch it whenever I get the opportunity. Anyway, in my opinion, it was definitely the first masterpiece produced by Martin Scorsese and Robert de Niro. I mean, 3 years before, they had already made 'Mean Streets' together and it was already a real breakthrough for both of them but it is with this movie that they really started to change cinema as an Art and they will keep doing it, at least twice again"

" Directed by: Martin Scorsese With: Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster, Cybill Shepherd Plot: A mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran works as a night-time taxi driver in New York City where the perceived decadence and sleaze feeds his urge for violent action, attempting to save a preadolescent prostitute in the process."
