"Goldie Hawn as the rich kid whose newly married husband dies on their wedding night, leading her to join the army and finds that she has spent all her life being pushed around. Extremely likeable comedy which has a feminist touch, with Hawn at the top of her comic game and a top-notch support from Eileen Brennan as her drill sergeant. A little dated now but still an entertaining view."
"When: November 13th-14th First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: VHS from my collection. What'd I Think?: Clever film is mostly funny, but sadly fizzles out in the third act. My Rating: 8/10 Other Notes: NA."
"A recently widowed jewish princess is convinced to join the Army, hoping that it will be akin to a nice tropical getaway. And, of course, quickly finds out the reality of the situation. A soldering process that eventually will bring the delusional diva down to Earth & mold her into a better person. Private Benjamin is a movie that makes me wish that there was a law out there that take all of today's spoiled Paris-Hilton/Kardashian worshiping, Sex-In-The-City watching, entitlement-sensed fema"
