"Re-Watched 10/6/2017 Rating 6.5/10 Format: Blu Ray Even though its the fifth entry into the series Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales still somehow manages to be a good entertaining summer movie. Now while there are plenty of things to hate on there are also things to like about it. I will say the run-time was too long but that could have been helped with a more redefined script. Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar was great for sure the best villain since barbossa back in Pirates 1 "
"The 5th Pirates movie was definitely better from the 4th installment of the franchise, but failed to fully capture the magic of the original trilogy. Despite its cast, the movie never found its footing due to a weak plot and an underwhelming antagonist who was seemingly designed to be convenient to the plot, as opposed to serving a greater purpose to the movie's story. Overall, the jokes fell flat and the action was terribly unmemorable, making this an easily forgettable chapter in the saga of C"
"7.4 / 10 - I was positively surprised when I saw this movie after some people told me it was horrible and I found it to be quite the opposite. For example, why on Earth was Barbossa involved again in this adventure? Sure, he is a pretty cool character and Geoffrey Rush is a fine actor but they could have done fine without him. Indeed, Salazar was a ” read more
"It may seem like the franchise is starting to run out of ideas, but for fans of the four previous films, this is an exciting and fun adventure that boasts some great and inventive action sequences, amazing visuals, and feels complete. 7.1/10"
"25/5/17 We're back at sea with the fifth of this endless franchise and while we maybe hoping for a fresh new approach, it never comes. This is loud, noisy and in your face, like some child wanting to impress, with Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow becoming increasingly annoying. Time to let this ship sail into the sunset or sink without a trace. Dull and boring."
