“I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was starring Anne Hathaway, I thought I might as well check it out. To be honest, it has been years since I saw ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ (I apparently did enjoy it though) and I can’t say I was really dying to see a remake of this movie. Still, I have to admit that I always had a weak spot for movies dealing with con artists and the idea of focusing on 2 female con artists played by Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson did sound actually pretty cool. Film Journal 2019 (225 movies items)"I have not seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels so I had a hoot watching this movie. Then I read up on it and did some comparing and... yeah. They didn't make too many funny bits (though the best gag, which is also Anne Hathaway's best comedy bit ever, is an original) up on their own so that's a bummer. I really wanted this to be something more than a well-made copy. Kinda weird to feel this sad about a movie I liked watching."
