This is the third in a series of animated Russian films based on the Rudyard Kipling book "Jungle Book." Mowgli has grown into a young man, and finds that in order to take his place in the pack, he has to be able to defend himself. Kaa helps Mowgli find a knife in an abandoned cave. This proves to be very timely, because their eternal enemy, the tiger Shere Khan, has raised havoc in the wolf pack to try to overthrow pack leader, Akela. Only Mowgli’s intervention saves Akela from the treachery of Shere Khan.
