" DVD- 1hr. 56min. First Viewing Maudie mostly sticks to the biopic script, but it's intimacy with its characters, and the lead performances propel this one to impressive heights. Hawkins and Hawke are exceptional here (monthly winners in a weaker month), rendering their characters complex with lived-in performances.
