Ice Age: Collision Course update feed
“Just when you think this series is done they come out with another sequel pretty much out of nowhere. I don't have a problem with that of course as I have enjoyed all the previous films. A lot of the actors return again with a few who were replaced here and there. Mike Thurmeier has returned once again from the last two films as well as recent shorts. This is the first time Galen T. Chu has directed a film of the main series after only writing the first one. Michael J. Wilson returns to write this after only being involved in the first one. Michael Berg once again returns to write this after only missing part two. Yoni Brenner returns after being only a part of part three and a few shorts. This is the first time Aubrey Solomon has been involved in the series. Anyways now it's time to see i” read more
"First watched 8/22/2016 This movie made me cringe every other second. There are so many characters and subplots they all fade into the background. It's all just noise and colors. The dialogue and modern reference jokes are tired, obnoxious, and immature. And some too strange and violent: you have Scrat's skin coming off due to gravity and his skeleton putting it back on and his teeth from the top of his mouth getting pulled out and down into his lower mouth due to gravity; it's not funny it "
"The Ice Age team appears to be out of ideas, at least that's how this new one feels. The plot is dreadfully contrived and over complicated for its target audience. In brief, there's an asteroid heading towards the Earth and it's up to the mammoth, the sloth, the ferret and the sabre tooth tigers to stop it. Even for a kids story, that's pretty ridiculous. Even the Scrat sequences have started to become pretty uninteresting. Having said all that, the old familiar faces are there and, whilst they "
"A lame plot that had no chance of working, which is not complimented by the film's jokes, which reuses standard cliches that should've died in the 90s and 00s, and cramming in way too many characters without giving them anything to do shows that this franchise has run out of ideas and its time to put it to rest. 4.1/10"
"When: July 30th First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: In theaters. What'd I Think?: Occasionally funny, but pointless and unnecessary sequel to a long and tired franchise. My Rating: 4/10 Other Notes: NA."
"SCREENING: Advanced DATE: July 2nd CINEMA: Showcase Cinema de Lux LOCATION: Bluewater"
"Tomatometer Guess: 32%. The franchise that has seemingly lasted as long as the event it's named after returns for a fifth installment. Actual Score: 11%. Even lower score than my most optimistic predidction. If the last three sequels weren't evidence enough, than Ice Age: Collision Course solidifies the fact that this franchise has seriously jumped the shark. The humor is childish, the jokes are unfunny, and the characters are bland caricatures, and it feels like the script is incoherent."
