" Based on the book “ Haakon Haakonsen: En Norsk Robinson” by Oluf Falck-Ytter, after his father is injured, young Haakon Haakonsen takes a job as a cabin boy aboard a ship in order to support his family. There, he befriends shipmate Jens, who teaches Haakon how to be a sailor. Midway through the voyage, a girl named Mary is found stowed away.
