La tumba de las luciérnagas es la segunda película de Estudio Ghibli y la primer película del estudio hecha por Isao Takahata, quien, a diferencia de Miyazaki, no haría historias con elementos tan fantasiosos y se decantaría más por obras de carácter realista. Así, su primer película no es sobre un mundo ficticio y conflictos de guerras entre bandos por causas ficticias, si no sobre la segunda guerra mundial, su impacto en Japón y sucesos trágicos y crudos que muestran una realidad devastadora. Esta es, realmente, una película muy distinta a lo que estaría acostumbrado a hacer Ghibli, no es familiar, no es amigable, es cruda, triste y difícil de digerir. Pero bueno, ¿” read more
