"This Korean gangster movie is a gory, but realistic, portrayal of the depths of man's capacity for greed and violence in the country during the 1970s. It's about the area of Gangnam which is targeted by corrupt politicians and gangsters as a future development area. Caught in the crossfire are penniless childhood friends Jong-dae and Yong-ki who find a golden opportunity. The movie shows graphically how men can be pushed, by despair and need, to fight with everything they have to not just surviv"
