El caso único del dramaturgo (Pagnol) y la locación (Marsella, que es el Nápoles de Francia) que impregna tanto la película, que no importa que los directores fueran distintos. Allegret o Korda, lo mismo da. El sacrificio doble de Fanny o doble ganancia, pues hay amor y comfort, es lo que vale, la tradición y la modernidad en perfecta armonía crítica.
