" First Viewing Viewing Date: July 21st Via: iTunes Store Plot: A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer. Rating: 6.4/10"
"The lack of effort here is multitude and embarrassing for most involved. It's bold to make a Disney remake where you remake the entire original movie and slap on a sequel under one roof, but it has so little to say. You could argue they're trying for some critique against Walt Disney with Keaton's character but even that is like barely a sentence long if you were to type it out. Dumbo flies around a circus tent so many times with Elfman's "you just want the Edward Scissorhands score again right"

On the other hand, it is quite sad to see that Tim Burton is still struggling to finally come up with something new and it is rather difficult to believe that, 20 years ago, he used to be one of the most interesting directors in the business. Anyway, coming back to the movie itself, well, it was a decent watch but not much more than that, I'm afraid. The biggest issue was that the original animated movie was really short so, obviously, they had to expand it somehow. Unfortunately, even if it could have been an opportunity to come up with something new and interesting, ” read more
