"I was really tired watching this so this felt really slow but I wasn't bored but I had to fight against my eyelids until the ending started and the tiredness went away. "
"As far as horror is concerned, this is clearly a real step down from Bergman's Hour of the Wolf, but there's just such great cinema in this I can't but love it. Miike is truly one of a kind; first he envisions an Ikki Kajiwara manga with Atsushi Onita in the lead role and then he envisions the most artful and viscerally horrifying eek into a world of deep psychological wounds and horrifying violence."
" Y'know how when you try to wake up your foot after it's fallen asleep and it then feels like there are a hundred thin needles piercing thru the flesh? Raise the level of that feeling from uncomfortable to horrific, add a little razor-wire and an angelic smile, and there you go. You've got this movie. Rarely does the face of horror look so beautiful and hurt so torturously bad at the same time. "

Indeed, I have seen more than 5000 movies in my life so far and it is easily the most horrible one. I won't describe what happened but the whole thing was just horrifying and, compared to this, 'Saw' or 'Hostel' are just pretty much some D"
