Matt Gerald is an American actor and screenwriter born in Miami, Florida, on May 2, 1970. He began his professional acting career in the late 1990s and subsequently built a career across film and television.
He is particularly recognizable for playing Corporal Lyle Wainfleet in James Cameron's Avatar franchise and Melvin Potter in Netflix's Daredevil. His other credits include The Minus Man, Magnolia, Tigerland, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, S.W.A.T., xXx: State of the Union, Escape Plan, San Andreas, Shot Caller, The Oath, Mayor of Kingstown, and Avatar: The Way of Water.
