Description: Marina Sirtis [ Born: March 29, 1955 in London, England ] is an actress, probably best known for playing Counselor Deanna Troi on the TV Series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Sirtis was born to Greek parents Despina (Yianniri), a tailor's assistant, and John Sirtis who didn't want her to become an actress. As soon as Sirtis completed high school, she applied to the Guild Hall School of Music and Drama secretly. After her graduation, she worked in musical theater, repertory, and television.
