The best RPG on the system and arguably of that era.

The superior version of Streets of Rage III. Easier than the overly hard SoR3, faster, plot unchanged and no silly edits on the colors and enemies/bosses.

Also known as Story of Thor, it's the best Action/RPG of the Megadrive in my opinion. Gorgeous 2D sprites and great gameplay. Too bad it's a bit too easy and didn't have more content but it's still one of the greatest on the console.

Very underrated game. It's a great Run'n'gun game with exploration, some would call it a metroid-vania but a more accurate description would be Contra meets Metroid.
This is a sequel to the Amiga/Commodore games.
If you like Contra: Hard Corps, Gunstar Heroes and other games like those, go play Mega Turrican asap, it's the best of the bunch in my opinion.

Arguably the best run'n'gun game on the system. Very colorful, great visuals and great in coop.
Even though i like Mega Turrican more, you'll have a lot of fun with this one!

Very underrated.
Not as fast as Sonic but the level design is as good as in the Sonic games and the gameplay is quite good.
Everyone needs to play this asap!

Great little known gem that came out late on the Megadrive. Not many people played it because of this but it features 3D rendered graphics (like Donkey Kong games on Superfamicom), fast gameplay and good level design.
The game is hard but it's still a great game that you will enjoy playing if you don't mind hard games.

The definition of multiplayer back in the day!

Surprisingly smooth even though it was stripped of a lot of content and the visuals aren't anywhere near the arcade game. Fun to play with a friend, too !

The best strategy game on the system. Not as smooth to control as the DOS version (pc) but still quite an achievement at the time of its release.

No game deserves its title more than this one. You'll truly be transported to another world while playing this gem of an action game.

Great action RPG title. The controls are a bit confusing at first but once you get used to them, you will enjoy the journey!

Pretty cool Action/RPG game with similar graphics to the legend of Zelda. Story isn't as good, though and the design is a bit bland. Still very enjoyable.

Underrated and very fun beat'em'up with insane graphics and jumping from a drawing to another is just great.

M.U.S.H.A. Aleste is another great shmup among the vast library of the megadrive!
If you like vertical shmups, you need to play this.
