Something/Anything? - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren's enduring masterpiece covering a wide range of pop and rock styles - nearly everything is great here
An essential album for any pop/rock fan

A Wizard, a True Star - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren enters career suicide mode by throwing away the standard pop song structure to make a stream of consciousness trippy album of sonic doodles
Once you get into the absurdity its a truly great album as Rundgren never forgets to actually have catchy melodies
Another essential album
Highlights
Zen Archer
Just One Victory
When The Shit Hits The Fan/Sunset Boulevard

Todd - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren must have had a nightmare trying to follow Wizard but he almost pulls it off again. Reverting back to more conventional songs and a more rock based sound with a few electronic/synth diversions

I Think You Know
Everybody's Going to Heaven / King Kong Reggae
Izzat Love?

Initiation - Todd Rundgren
Well it was almost impossible for anyone to follow up 3 great albums and this one is pretty boring tbh apart from Real Man its not worth the effort
xxixii's rating:

Faithful - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren returns with an album , one side of covers of 60s staples/classics and the following side with his own material. While the covers are ok Rundgren does nothing special with them
The other side is hit and miss but contains 2 of his greatest songs Love Of The Common Man and The Verb To Love

Hermit of Mink Hollow - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren almost returns to his roots with an album of simple songs. The first side is largely pop based and is rather good however the second side is more rock and not so good

Healing - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren has dabbled in prog rock areas sometimes and there is almost some element of spirituality in his albums but this one he dives right in to both areas
Mainly excellent apart from Golden Goose a novelty silly track (musically) which really sticks out like a sore thumb
Despite that I think its Rundgren's best album

The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect - Todd Rundgren
One of Rundgren's weakest efforts but it did produce the insanely catchy Bang the Drum All Day
xxixii's rating:

A capella (1985) [VINYL] - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren has aways experimented with the latest technology and on this album he simply uses samples of vocals manipulated to reproduce standard instruments - good idea in theory but in practice this album has little in the way of anything memorable
xxixii's rating:

Nearly Human - Todd Rundgren
Well Rundgren goes for a soul album and its ...okay
2 great songs - The Want Of A Nail and I Love My Life

2nd Wind - Todd Rundgren
An appropriate title as Rundgren is back with a vengeance. A very solid album covering a lot of musical bases

No World Order - Todd Rundgren
LOL - Rundgren throws a huge curveball with this album.
This came in 2 versions an interactive cd version and a normal cd.
As I only have heard the normal cd heres my view. Rundgren just indulges in his increasing interest in electronica and non pop/rock styles mainly rap
Ignoring the vocals which imho are weak on this album there are actually elements of good songs on here
Highlights
Fascist Christ
Love Thing
Fever Broke

The Individualist - Todd Rundgren
hmmm - this is one of my favourite albums
The songs are strong and with a wide variety of styles ranging from the dark electro rock of Cast The First Stone to the epic ballad Temporary Sanity and the upbeat Espresso

With a Twist... - Todd Rundgren
Rundgren revisits his old songs and covers them in a latin or bosa nova style.
The production is truly excellent on this album and sometimes the idea works - how can Hello Its Me be changed so much yet still itself but diffrent

Liars - Todd Rundgren
One of Rundgren's best albums combining a love of electronica and some damn fine songs combining various genres all neatly tied together under the theme of lying and dishonesty
Unlike many albums Rundgrens vocals work very well here
A modern day essential album

Arena - Duran Duran
LOL I cannot find this album listed - Duran Duran will have to do for now
Arena is basically a stadium rock album almost entirely produced on a laptop
Only 1 decent song imho - Strike which sounds uncannily like AC/DC

The State - Nickelback
Another album not listed...
Ok on this one Rundgren dives almost entirely into modern pop and electro - the influence of Skrillex is all over the place on this album
A very hit and miss affair - ironically Rundgren does well when he embraces the modern dynamic rather than avoids it
Highlights
Imagination
Serious
Collide-a-scope

Just a broad retrospective of Rundgrens solo work spanning the start at the 70s to the 2010s!
I will try to give 2 or 3 good songs or those representative of the sound of that album, plus my opinion of course
