Forever Changes - love_vi
Probably the most perfect album I have ever heard, it's music is just plainly perfect, and I can't imagine many songs as perfect as "alone again or", and in none of their albums before this did they appear as perfect as in this one, Arthur lee's voice is truly haunting.
And every time I listen to this albums it makes me yearn to be born decades ago.

Odessey and Oracle - The Zombies
There are so many incredible things in this album that it is impossible to list them.
This album is often considered one of the least appreciated gems of the 60s and I can't help but agree with that fact, it may be the zombies only album but I can't imagine that they could top it.

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd
Made by pink floyd.... Doesn't that just tell you that it was going to be amazing and yes, it is, I'm a massive Pink floyd fan, especially Syd Barret, so my opinion may be bias but I consider it one if the best albums ever released despite the lack of attention it gets because of the impact of its younger brothers "dark side" and "the wall" .

Surrealistic Pillow - Jefferson Airplane
"White Rabbit" the most known song from this album has become the soundtrack to drug use everywhere, so if that doesn't show you it's influence I don't know what will. It's a brilliant album made by gods in the psychedelic music industry.

Electric Ladyland - The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jimi Hendrix
I originally wasn't going to include jimi on this list as I didn't want to put him into a box (genre-wise) but this album is too incredible to be ignored (Are You Experienced almost got on the list too).
13th moody grape 's rating:
The Doors - The Doors
The doors are a brilliant band who despite only going for 4 years (with jim morrison) still left a massive impact in the musical business, Jim's voice is amazing in this, and it is virtually flawless. The first and best doors album in my opinion.
13th moody grape 's rating:
Revolver - The Beatles
The beatles, the one band everybody expected to be here, with their most popular album ever, why not sgt peppers? Too pop. why not magical mystery tour? Too pop again. Revolver is the beginning of all things psychedelic and I love them for that fact, if not for their other awesome qualities.
13th moody grape 's rating:
The United States of America - The United States of America
Probably the most unlikely choice of the lot, I doubt anyone has even heard of them but, they are truly amazing, and this album is just one of those albums which suprises you at each turn.

Disraeli Gears - Cream_IV
Words don't describe it's awesomeness, I love it as much as I could ever love a woman.
Eric Clapton is on the guitar, ginger baker is on drums, and jack Bruce in on bass.... Perfection....at its most perfect.
Not to mention the songs on here. Please I beg you check this album out.

Lonerism - Tame Impala
The only album on here released in this millennium and also the only Australian album on here. It's a modern day masterpiece, a album for anyone brave enough, and truly the only album released this year worth it's weight in salt
