Badass Females in Music

Starting our list out strong at number 5, we have Taylor Momsen from The Pretty Reckless. Taylor started out as an actress and is now a musician and can introduce a combination of sexiness and badassery. If you haven't listened to her band, listen to the song 'Going to Hell' first. Especially with the hot video that goes along with it.

Sexy and badass is a combination we discovered with our number 5, but our number 4 takes the cake for that combination just a bit more. Ash Costello of New Years Day is commonly known for her red and black hair and her overall badass attitude. Ash and our number three were so close, but I chose to put Ash at number 4.

Number three and number 4 were hard to assign, because Ash and Ariel are both awesome, however I do enjoy Icon for Hire more than New Year's Day so Ariel takes the number 3 spot. The Sweden born singer is the lead singer of Icon For Hire and is not afraid to speak her mind. That is noted in the song 'Now You Know' off of the band's upcoming album 'You Can't Kill Us'

When speaking about badass females, our number two spot is hard to forget and that spot belongs to Hayley Williams. The lead singer of Paramore is an excellent example of adorable and badass combined. From her brightly colored hair and her amazing fashion sense, why wouldn't like her? However, despite her being absolutely amazing, she is not our number one badass female in music.

The number one spot would have to be Lyn-Z Way. The bassist of Mindless Self Indulgence is probably one of my idols, and in her own right. She didn't even know bass when she auditioned for MSI, as she was just an artist (And a really good one at that.) She definitely is an absolutly amazing example of sexy and badass for sure. From her confidence, her talent, and her overall badass attitude, I look up to her so much and she has easily won herself the number one spot.
