Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928)
I've always thought there's something depressing about this movie.

The Electric House (1922)
I don't think this works as well as it should somehow. Being a Buster film, there could have been tons of more gags and tricks in the style of Scarecrow or One Week.
Cleo's rating:

A William S. Hart parody and one of the strangest Buster shorts (with one violent scene and an Erich von Stroheim impression).
Cleo's rating:

A few great moments, for example at the dinner table. The Polish phrases make it extra special.

The Rough House (1917)
I love the scene where Arbuckle serves the soup using a sponge.
Cleo's rating:

Seven Chances (1925)
Quite tiresome. Is there really something funny about hundreds of desperate old maids chasing Buster around town?
Cleo's rating:

Go West (1925)
Quite funny and charming but with a slight sense of melancholia. A big chase sequence in the end, much like in Seven Chances and Cops.

Cleo's rating:

Spite Marriage (1929)
Spite Marriage could've easily been a Harold Lloyd film; it's a bit slow ...and I think it lacks spark.

Out West (1918)
A terrific, entertaining film (though there's some nasty stuff in it as well). But Arbuckle is particularly great in this and I love the fact that the idea of the story came from Natalie Talmadge.

Cleo's rating:

I love One Week because it's one of the first Buster films I saw. It's also wonderful with elaborate gags.

I'm interested in Natalie and that's one of the reasons I like this movie. It's also a very amusing film.

A Buster Keaton movie list. These films are like tiny symphonies of laughter and beauty. I've yet to watch most of his 1930's films so I'll be adding them later.
