(500) Days of Summer (2009)
This movie is very relatable, grounded, and very realistic. Joseph Gordon Levitt just has that quality that makes you feel like a person can just jump into his shoes. This movie is a perfect example of the true side of dating, whether you are the guy or girl, in love or just having fun.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Fantastic movie of a possible future where robots with artificial intelligence exist. The story revolves around an artificial boy trying to get back home to his mother, and possibly trying to become a real-life Pinoccio. Jude Law does a fantastic job as well being a male-prostitute-turned-helpful-guardian.

American Psycho (2000)
Christian Bale at his best. Story is set in the prime of the 1980s. Patrick Bateman is a rich Wall Street guy with sexual and killer impulses. He has social disorders and can not relate to anyone. His main murders are the prostitutes he fucks, videotapes, and kills them. He has been known to weild a chainsaw as well as eat their cooked flesh while bathing in their blod. Christian Bale knows perfectly how to play the vain Mr. Bateman.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Bicentennial Man (1999)
Another artificial intelligence movie, trying to distinguish the line between robot and human, and what truly makes the difference between the two. Robin Williams does a great job being serious. An highly enjoyable and intelligent movie that can be watched many times.

End of Days (1999)
I just like Arnold, angels/demons, and end of day myths, so it was a great mixture of them all.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Whatever you think it is going to be like based on actors or how it looks, dismiss it. A highly serious movie that is very, very relatable and close to the heart to any person who has gone through a break up. Makes you feel like someone actually understands what you go through during those times. No matter what we think, we'd rather have the good and bad memories of our past relationships instead of giving them up.

I Am Legend (2007)
What would happen if most of the population on earth died, a small percentage became blood thirsty hunters damaged by the sun, and you're the only survivor...Oh, and it was all because of you? Not as great as the short story, but highly enjoyable. Made me want a dog named Sam.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Inception (2010)
There is just so much to say about this movie, so much wrapped into such a fantastic dream, that I won't say anything but to watch it. Come on, it won 4 Oscars, it's worth trying.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
Revenge in the most intelligent matter. If revenge is a dish best served cold, Mr. Butler serves it frozen solid. A man with nothing to lose will tear down the jsutice system who lets his family's killers get away. This is someone you don't want to mess with. Best line of the movie: "If he's in jail, it's because he wants to be there, not cause you put him there."
Psychoffspring's rating:
Memento (2000)
Anterograde Amnesia. That's all I'm saying. It's a weird and powerful thing.
Psychoffspring's rating:
A future where criminals are caught before they commit the crime. A fantastic idea, until the hunter becomes the hunted and questions the entire system. One of Tom Cruise's best roles.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Mr. Nobody (2009)
Jared Leto's best performance. Nemo Nobody is the last mortal living in a world of immortal people. The story revolves around his decisions that drove him to where he is now, and whether he lived his life to the fullest. Each choice, no matter how small, effects the word and your life in some way. Unforgettable.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Next (2007)
I know, so many people said this movie was bad. But there is just something about it that just speaks to me. Nick Cage's role should have been casted better, and maybe a thicker plot, but its core concept is one that makes it worthwhile.
Psychoffspring's rating:
The Butterfly Effect (2004)
Do not watch anything but the Director's Cut. It is what makes this rise from any other. Time Travel, the ability to change your past, and trying to win the love of your life makes this movie for almost anyone. And possibly timeless as well.
Psychoffspring's rating:
The Butterfly Effect 2 (2006)
A good twist on the first with a little innuendo here and there referencing it. Not as perfect as part one, but so good it is worth mentioning for this list.
Psychoffspring's rating:
The Devil's Advocate (1997)
Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron; a terrific threesome about a man who makes a deal with the devil to never lose a case. But what lengths do his roots reach to with the devil? How much as it affected him?
Psychoffspring's rating:
The Fountain (2006)
Gets better with each watch. To what lengths would you go to save the love of your life? This movie pushes this mentality in three separate but interconnected times in history. Brilliant, Aronofsky's best work.
Psychoffspring's rating:
The Mist (2007)
A fairly good thriller with an ending that makes your jaw drop and makes you feel horrible inside. It is a must see.
Psychoffspring's rating:
Movies That Might Impact Your Mind Enough To Make You Think. These Movies Make You Stop and Question What Just Happened. Make You Question Yourself. Or Maybe Its Core Concept Just Sticks With You.
