Wonderfully weird Asian horror which imho is a modern day Donnie Darko
Hugely entertaining and just...bizarre
The lead actress is a combination of ugly/weird/geeky/beautiful

The Good Dinosaur (2015)
Average Disney Pixar stuff with a few good touches to recommend

Vault of Horror (1973)
Surprisingly a 70s anthology horror film which actually is a good watch even today as it concentrated on story rather than bs special effects
xxixii's rating:
Entertaining if absurd weird Asian action flick - giants are fought by soldiers wearing some sort of flying equipment - almost Pacific Rim meets Spiderman
One film which could or should have been a bit longer so the characters could have been fleshed out

xxixii's rating:
Weird 3rd installment in this found footage meets horror anthology and its not that good the best segment being about the magician but that dragged on a bit too long
xxixii's rating:
The Green Inferno (2013)
Laughably bad torture porn - the film starts well but descens it terribleness quite quickly. Despite all its gore it has NO suspense or scares
xxixii's rating:
Enjoyable but repetitive Asian horror - its basically an art movie masquerading as a horror as the "look" is great...shame about the plot
imho this film proves that director Takashi Miike is better at creating art and drama films than horror

xxixii's rating:
Largely enjoyable female Death Wish type of movie - nice to see the character experience some dilemmas rather than just become a killing machine
xxixii's rating:
The Tower (2008)
ok low budget horror movie which starts well and has some moments of creepiness but gets a little too fantastical at the end
xxixii's rating:
The Intouchables (2011)
A paraplegic looks to hire a home help and eventually settles on hiring a rough diamond type....based on a true story and its a nice feelgood film BUT there is something a bit inexplicable that it never becomes truly great, maybe the pacing or maybe simply it just isnt that a great a story
worth a one time watch though

xxixii's rating:
an okay thriller horror dealing with the plight of a mute girl who works in a brothel in some Stan type country
nicely shot but laughable when the action kicks in towards the end

The Visit (2015)
An entertaining return to form of sorts for writer director M Night Shyamalan
A comedy horror which is funny and creepy in places...the obligatory "twist" is kind of stupid but overall the film is worthwhile to see as it has a good vibe

xxixii's rating:
Invictus (2009)
Story about new South African President Mandelas attempts to restore national pride through the success of the nations rugby team
Interesting throughout and just a solid film
