The whole shebang.
Van Halen - Van Halen
Yeah, you may have all you want baby
But I got somethin' you need, Van Halen's stone cold classic debut album, oh yeah!

Mob Rules - Black Sabbath
Some won't acknowledge the Black Sabbath catalog outside the Ozzy Osbourne line-up, and it's their loss missing the likes of, "Mob Rules" & "Heaven and Hell".
Conan The Barbarian: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack... - Basil Poledouris
Perfect music to exact barbaric, bloody retribution to. Serpent cultists beware. Your decapitation is forthcoming. Ready the secret of steel.
Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force - Yngwie Malmsteen
Before he unleashed the FOOKING fury (see you in Tokyo, bitch). Before he was known to stupid Pantera fans (redundant, I know) for vehemently disliking doughnuts. He was known for revolutionizing a style of guitar playing with this scaly (this pun's for you) beast of an album.
Powerslave - Iron Maiden
Some say Number of the Beast is the best Iron Maiden album. Others say Piece of Mind. NO ONE says Virtual XI. The correct answer is... 1984's Powerslave.
Hell Awaits - Slayer
Slayer at their most progressive. And evil. Those croaking black metal toad poseurs (oh la la) wish they could sound this evil.
Rising From The Grave (2CD+1DVD) - Helstar
This is a compilation album containing both "A Distant Thunder" and "Nosferatu" albums, and it's another case of disagreeing with the majority. It seems most prefer the latter to the former. I feel though, "Nosferatu" doesn't have any memorable songs, at least nothing stuck in my mind, whereas "A Distant Thunder" is the opposite.
Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I - Helloween
This album is the blueprint for most modern power metal.
South of Heaven - Slayer
Slayer at their most melodic. Apparently fans at the time rejected this slight style change. Kerry King himself has also gone on record stating dislike of the album.
...And Justice for All - Metallica
So-called Metallica fans who don't like this album must all be disgruntled bass players. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best Metallica album.
Dragon's Kiss - Marty Friedman
You like the guitars, and the heavy metals, yes? Marty Friedman plays the guitars and the heavy metals. This is Marty's first solo instrumental album prior to joining the deth that is mega on the album that rusts peacefully. Worth your time if you appreciate your guitars shredded and if you don't, pfft.
Heresy - Paradox
German melodic thrash in the vein of Joey Belladonna fronted Anthrax, maybe more technical.
Metallica (The Black Album) - Metallica
I have to include this album solely based on the fact that it started my heavy metal fandom.
Somewhere Far Beyond - Blind Guardian
Who would trust a blind guardian . . . to guard? They're blind. W-t-f as the annoying kids on their Iphones say. Come on now, silly Germans. You can do better. I'm nearsighted, and only somewhat German, so you can trust me to not make such oxymoronic statements. This power metal lp is magnifique, oui oui. I'm also only somewhat French. Merci.
Whoracle - In Flames
I can't get behind the hype for "The Jester Race," to these ears successor "Whoracle" easily topples it.
Surtur Rising - Amon Amarth
Talk about consistent, there should be a picture of Amon Amarth in the dictionary accompanying the word. "Surtur Rising" their eighth album continues to illustrate this (follow-up "Deceiver of the Gods" is none too shabby, also).
I loved the movie (Bane, awesome), it was easily better than the Dark Knight (unlike what everyone and their mothers say), the soundtrack also delivers.

This is a range of albums I like (and legit physically own, homes), not favorites per se. Also, there's no order aside from the release times.
