The Rat Pack
Also known as the one in which Sean Connery stopped giving a fuck, Diamonds Are Forever resembles a Rat Pack movie. Sammy Davis Jr. even showed up in a scene which was deleted - I shit you not.

Moonraker (1979)
Science Fiction
The Moonraker movie is very different from the book. The movie is clearly a jump on the Star Wars bandwagon.

Licence to Kill (1989)
Narcocultura
Shows like Miami Vice as well as many Mexican narcopelículas (narcofilms) and narcocorridos (narco ballads) were big in the 1980's. The 007 franchise jumped on the bandwagon, and with an excellent result.

GoldenEye (1995)
Grunge
GoldenEye was said by some critics to be Bond for the grunge era. The mood, if nothing else, does seem to be from the era that gave us Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Is it just me, or did Pierce Brosnan's portrayal of Bond in GoldenEye remind anybody else of Jefferson D'Arcy (of Married With Children)? Is it more than just a coincidence?

Die Another Day (2002)
Science Fiction(again)
The self-parody that tried too hard to be a real Bond film? Yes, that one.
An invisible car, a killer satellite and a Korean who turns himself into a white man? Die Another Day not only has sci fi influences, it goes berserk with them, as well as taking a huge shit on the Bond franchise.

Skyfall (2012)
Batman
Some have said that Skyfall is a ripoff of the Dark Knight. If anything, I didn't see the Batman influence as much as a buttload of Easter eggs from throughout the Bond franchise. Watch Skyfall and see if you can catch them all!
Oh, and does this remind anybody else of Silence of the Lambs?
