Mini Review: "Never have I been so captivated by a coming of age story. This film had it all, from light hearted moments of friendship and love, to very emotional scenes of abuse and depression. It is one of few films that actually gets growing up right, which is a tough thing to do for a film. It provides the three leads with powerful personalities and it soars from there thanks to three incredible and engaging performances from Lerman, Watson and Miller. A definite must see, you will not be disappointed."

End of Watch (2012)
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena and Anna Kendrick
Rating: 9.5/10
Mini Review:
End of Watch is the perfect blend of on-screen comedy, friendship and emotional turmoil in less than 2 hrs. It perfectly depicts the lives of two LA PD officers who are best friends through thick and thin. Gyllenhaal and Pena had the perfect onscreen chemistry, from the comedic in car scenes all the way too the most dramatic of bust scenes. End of Watch has perfect flow, perfect acting and a story that is not overly far-fetched and ridiculous

Argo (2012)
Starring: Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Victor Garber.
Rating:9/10
Mini Review:Affleck perfectly balances 70's Hollywood humor and real world tension, that grips you for the full two hours. Whether you are laughing awkwardly at the humorous quips between Goodman and Arkin, or holding your breath during the later stages of the film, there is no denying that Argo captivated the audience. Cranston, Garber and even Affleck himself help provide realism, a sense of tension and a made for Hollywood flick that could possibly be the best picture of the year.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Starring: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
Rating: 9/10
Mini Review:
Captivating, breathtaking and full of intense action, The Amazing Spider-man is certainly the best Spider-Man movie so far. Andrew Garfield plays a much better quirky Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire did. The storyline and writing was more focused, really nailed the character's and their personalities 100 per cent. This is the heroic movie of the summer, no doubt comic fanboys everywhere will fall in love with this flick the same way I did.

Lawless (2012)
Starring: Shia Labeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Guy Pierce, Gary Oldman and Mia Wasikowska
Rating:8/10
Mini Review:Shia Labeouf proves that he can carry a film of solid structure, his narration is the drive this film needs in order to succeed. He brings character, heart and charm to Jack, allowing us to view through the film through his words and his actions. Lawless is well-written, has very minor pacing issues and could be considered a top tier film

21 Jump Street (2012)
Starring: Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle and Brie Larson
Rating: 8/10
Mini Review:
21 Jump Street is funny, it's entertaining. It has action, explosions, drama and a light hearted feel too it. Comedies don't get much better than this. The duo of Tatum and Hill worked perfectly. Dave Franco commanded the screen with the same on screen coolness his older brother James has. The entire cast proves to be of value. Great comedic fun, I certainly do recommend 21 Jump Street as a comedy. And one more thing, totally awesome Johnny Depp cameo. Very good addition to the film.

Chronicle (2012)
Starring: Dane Dehaan, Michael B. Jordan and Alex Russell.
Rating: 8.5/10
Mini Review:
A very engaging piece because of the camera angles and techniques used to capture the first person view point. The low key cast provides a realism that is often forgotten in modern films. As the film progresses the atmosphere within the film becomes darker as the emotions of the characters take a turn for the worse. A very enjoyable flick, thee is no doubt about that.

The Avengers (2012)
Starring: Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey JR, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders and Tom Hiddleston.
Rating:8/10
Mini Review:
Joss Whedon creates one of the finest displays of Superhero action to date. The only part Whedon slipped on it seemed was getting the full affect of all the characters. Black Widow could have been used better, same with Hawkeye. The Avengers is a grand action movie set to blow the mind of any fanboy, and it does just that. Cool explosions, a good conclusion with a set-up for a sequel.
