The Paleface (1948)
Sort of disappointing, with its racial strangeness and Russell's bosom being the most interesting thing on screen half the time.
Stehako's rating:
A pretty gutsy low-budget movie for the time with interesting characters
Stehako's rating:
They also meet the Wolfman and Dracula. It's classic Abbott and Costello and just a good romp of fun.
Stehako's rating:
Fort Apache (1948)
A little older Shirley Temple is a weird sight, and actually one of her last films.
Stehako's rating:
Either not as strong as Part 1 or I was tired of the story by midway through and all of the innovative film techniques and mastery wears off.
Stehako's rating:
The Duke, in his element. It wasn't a wildly interesting story; but the scale and action was impressive.
Stehako's rating:
Visconti's second film is a fulfilling Sicilian seaside adventure about money, family and one's passion.
Stehako's rating:
Ice Cube has probably seen this film dozens of times, in researching for his role in "Are We Done Yet?"
Stehako's rating:
A movie that wouldn't be nearly as interesting if Stewart weren't in the lead.
Stehako's rating:
Key Largo (1948)
Director: John Huston
His 5th movie
My 7th movie watched from the director
Another Huston/Bogart classic! You could also call it another Bogart/Bacall classic... or another classic Edward G. Robinson as a gangster classic... it's true and all good. Took me too long to see it, but I plan to return someday...
