The Eurovision Song Contest (2007)
Ukraine's entry in 2007 was "Dancing Lasha Tumbai", performed by Verka Serduchka. The performance was wacky and very eye-catching; the display featured a lot of sparkly silver outfits and peculiar hats. The song's nonsensical lyrics made the song strangely appealing and turned the whole spectacle into a farce in the best way imaginable.
The Eurovision Song Contest (2010)
2010 was a great year for Eurovision with many impressive acts on show. I have chosen two entries as my joint-top favourites from 2010.
Moldova's entry in 2010 was the song, "Run Away" by the SunStroke Project and Olia Tira. The performance was visually spectacular, with excellent choreography, stage decorations and colourful outfits donned by the band. The saxophone solo performed in the song received a lot of attention and spawned a large following on YouTube and across the Internet. The saxophonist has been given the nickname "Epic Sax Guy" and the clip of his saxophone solo went viral.
Greece's entry in 2010 was Giorgos Alkaios & Friends with their song, "OPA!" The song was very upbeat, had an excellent rhythm to it and the lyrics were also very appealing and well-written. Stage direction and lighting also made the performance visually spectacular.

The Eurovision Song Contest (2012)
Russia's entry in 2012 was performed by the Buranovskiye Babushki, a group of eight elderly women, with their song, "Party For Everybody". Their modest performance was endearing, was very different from anything done before and was just inherently likeable.
The Eurovision Song Contest (2014)
France's entry in 2014 was the song, "Moustache", performed by Twin Twin. The song centred around a man aspiring to grow a moustache. It was bonkers and therefore a perfect entry for Eurovision. Unfortunately, the song did not receive many votes, scoring only 2 points, placing France in last place.
