In 1996, filmmaker Tatsuya Mori received permission to tape the inside activities of Japan's religious cult Aum Shinrikyo—the enigmatic group that released sarin gas into Tokyo's subway system in 1995. Focusing on the group's spokesperson Araki Hiroshi, Mori caught much more than the cult's daily life with his camera. He captured the media frenzy that engulfed the group, the vicious tactics of undercover cops against cult members, and the anger of local residents who wanted to evict the cult from their community. Looking for more than a simple depiction of this controversial group, Mori exposes and examines the contradictions in Japanese society that would produce such a cult and then feed on it. This edgy, provocative documentary created a heated debate in Japan, where the cult still resides under a different name.

A, Almond's new film shot on the coast of Antarctica, appears above the River Thames on the scale of the vast icebergs it pictures. Gliding along the margins where the snowy expanse of Antarctica meets the freezing sea, Almond's beautiful, unsettling film presents a world of infinite whites empty of human presence. Almond's ambition to go there was made possible when Mission Antarctica invited him to take the role of ship artist on their expedition to clear ecological waste from Antarctica's shores in early 2002. It was the ideal opportunity for Almond to explore his fascination with, as he puts it, a "landscape simply made up of air, liquid and gas in different states". His camera lingers over Antarctica's visible geology, revealing the translucency and delicacy of the lumbering ice islands, tracing their crystalline surfaces, skimming the margin where ocean meets ice and air in a fringe of turquoise channels....

Miho is a career woman who works at an archaeological site, but she has a secret—she doesn’t wear a bra. One day while working alongside Keigo she sees something strange on his back. Could that be a bra hook? She’s transfixed. Later, she sneaks into the men’s changing room and finds a frilly pink bra, but when fellow researcher Shimizu shows up, she chucks it out the window in a panic. She later goes outside and buries the bra to hide her deed, but it’s found when the area excavated the next day by very confused workers. Before Miho can say anything, Keigo surprisingly comes forward and claims his bra. That night, Miho visits Keigo’s room…

After his mother passes away, Mumbai-based Deshu returns from Dubai to condole his married sister, Kumud, and retired police constable father, but becomes embroiled with the police as well as the underworld after he witnesses a brutal homicide. Hounded by both the police and goons affiliated to Mangli, he decides to enter the criminal world of Hashimbhai, a rival of the later, and begins his career by killing Mangli. His rise in the gang is phenomenal, and his association with Bollywood beauty, Bhakti Bhatnagar, creates jealously amongst Hashim's sons, Shabbir and Muqarram, who also feel demoralized and threatened, and use every opportunity to instigate their father against him, while the Mumbai Police assign 'Encounter Specialist' Inspector Razaak the task of doing away with Deshu.

E along with his friend Tony (Karunas) carries out small crimes to earn money. E brought up in tough conditions, grows up as a tough, fearless and emotionless guy. Meanwhile; Dr.Ramakrishnan (Ashish Vidyarthi) a quack comes to the slum and projects himself as a do-Good to people living there. Not knowing his ulterior motives, the slum dwellers keep unshakable faith on him. However, his hidden agenda is to make use of them as guinea pigs to test his new but potentially lethal medicines.E saves Dr.Ramakrishnan from Nellai Mani (Pasupathy), a terrorist, who is after the Doctor to kill him. Realizing E's boldness the Doctor enters into a pact with E to capture Mani in return for a huge sum. E captures Mani and when he takes him to handover him to the doctor. Mani tells about Ramakrishna's evil designs. The rest of the film is about how E foils the doctor's malicious actions and brings him to books.

A giant statue of the letter "E" arrives in the park. One man sees it as "B"; they are preparing to cart him off to the looney bin when a doctor arrives and determines the man needs glasses. Then the king arrives; he also sees "B". He tries on the glasses, sees "E", and pins a medal on the doctor then has his goon squad come and bash on everyone's head until they too see "B".

Michael Downey, a hack writer, has just begun writing his first novel and decides to give it a try on a weird, old typewriter that he found. Things get very strange when he notices that everything he types on it comes true.

Three friends, Robban, Alexander and Kim has just left the compulsory school, and now they consider themselves grown-up and mature, being 16 years old. During the summer holiday they also get a bit of experience of the world: Robban becomes a full-time drug addict, Alexander plays in a rock band but leaves it and Kim is desperate to get the girl of his dreams.

This short but lyrical piece of cinema can be described as a thriller, a horror film, a comedy, a religious epic, a tragedy, an action flick, or as a Motion Poem about 30,000 feet.

A serial killer named Shin-Hyun gives himself up to police. He confesses to committing a series of particularly horrifying murders of exclusively female victims. He is imprisoned, awaiting the death sentence for his crimes. Yet the killings do not stop. They continue with all the same characteristics trademarks of the Shin-Hyun serial killings. The case is re-opened when two more bodies are discovered, both pregnant women. One is found in the city's landfill site, and the other is horrifically murdered on a public bus. H [is] about two heroin addicts, Michele, Pascale Montpetit and Snake, Martin Neufeld, who struggle to withdraw from the drug. They do it “cold turkey”. Snake nails the apartment door shut: they are determined to come clean. Michele awakens to discover she has been “betrayed” by her lover and is trapped. Sam is then abducted by Nora Winter, a member of an Israeli commando unit which is tracking down some missing art treasures. As Sam pursues his investigation, he unwittingly becomes a pawn in a deadly game of international politics…

A portrait of 15-year-old Kaylee who lives in a caravan park with her neglectful father. The film follows Kaylee over a 24-hour period as she sneaks out from her chalet at dawn and wanders out into the local marshland. Kaylee leads a solitary existence, preferring to roam freely in the surrounding fields with only the company of wild horses. Ostracised by the community around her, the resilient Kaylee passively waits for her mother whom she believes will return to find her. When she discovers a man sleeping rough in a derelict house, she becomes fascinated by him and feels a kinship. Kaylee's challenging encounter with this enigmatic stranger compels her to re-evaluate her future.

Three stories. We see, but little is explained. In "The Married Couple," a salesman pays a call on an old customer who is with his wife in the upstairs bedroom of their ill adult son. Another salesman may beat him to the punch, but not before disorienting changes. A maid scrubs the floor. "In the Penal Colony": a man arrives at a penal colony where an officer demonstrates a bizarre apparatus, one that punches a message into the skin of a prisoner strapped beneath it. Who will be punished? In "Fratricide," a man is murdered at night by someone he knows well. A woman grieves.

K fights his way up through the ranks of organised crime, his every move dogged by a mysterious and powerful opponent who'll stop at nothing to find K and the secret he unwittingly protects.

Et pourtant c’est là toute l’originalité du film de Vania Leturcq : il ne s’y passe absolument rien. Ou plutôt, les seules choses qui passent sont les émotions sur un visage, celui de l’actrice principale, omniprésente. Un visage duquel il devient dès lors impossible de détourner le regard.

A psychotic child murderer stalks a city, and despite an exhaustive investigation fueled by public hysteria and outcry, the police have been unable to find him. But the police crackdown does have one side-affect, it makes it nearly impossible for the organized criminal underground to operate. Nicolas explores Marta's possible contacts with guerrilla group Montoneros and, through interviews and field trips, he senses a web of silence evoking selfish, mistaken, cowardly, even treacherous attitudes. All of these swept under the carpet of the "higher enemy," whose ramifications reach to the present.

Whilst growing up in rural Thailand, a young orphan girl is taught the ways of magic by her grandmother. But when grandmother falls sick, Dau is lured to Bangkok to find work so that she can buy medicine. She finds herself working in a go-go bar, and her journey from naiveté to maturity is swift. She uses the magical skills her grandmother taught her to her advantage, but in doing so makes enemies within the bar. As her magic gets darker, and the consequences increasingly horrific, she gradually loses control, and something evil takes over.

After committing a vicious crime, Rune (Johan Philip Asbæk), a career criminal even though he is only in his mid-twenties, is sentenced to two years in the harshest of Danish prisons. One of the strongest points of the movie are the extremely offending scenes and trust me they will offend you. The level of controversy is truly amazing.

V (Roman number 5) is a poetic tale of love and its alluring paths in modern times. During his European Tour, Cliff Graym (37), a Jewish-American classical guitar player, discovers Feyrouz Franghi (29), a beautiful young Palestinian musician on a subway in Cologne, Germany. Cliff and Feyrouz are inspired into composing a new melody. Surprisingly and unintentionally they both come up with exactly the same tune, without knowing or having talked to each other. Cliff realises that this is a one in a billion stroke of fate, but unfortunately reacts too late. Before he gets the chance to speak to Feyrouz, she steps off the subway. At first it looks as if these two soul mates, shall never meet. But against all odds, Cliff decides to search for the young Palestinian woman, with only the mutual melody to succeed.

The story takes place in 1999, the Year of Destiny, and the beginning of the end of the world. The future of the universe rests on one young man, Kamui Shiro, who must destroy either the Dragons of Earth or the Dragons of Heaven - two opposing armies. He alone must decide whether humanity should be destroyed to create a purified universe, or whether it should be protected to preserve civilization.
