Why am I excited?: I've been evaluating what Superhero movies I enjoy and don't. I have seen most of them and Marvel just does not interest me. Even one of my friends begged me to watch Batman with Robert Pattinson and it just wasn't for me. I decided that the only Marvel franchises I enjoy are Deadpool and Joker.

Why am I excited?: I was on the fence about this one. I really don't get the obsession with Glen Powell, but I do love Daisy Edgar-Jones. My Mum loves apocalyptic films and she is really excited for this, which sent me over the edge.

Why: YORGOS LANTHIMOS. I'm obsessed with this directer. The first ever film I saw of his was The Lobster and I watched it three times in a row. From then I've watched and rewatched his catalogue of films. I loved Poor Things recently. However I am excited for Lanthimos to return to his older style with his writing partner Efthimis Filippou (The Favourite and Poor Things were written by Australian Tony McNamara). Also to see his relationship with Emily Stone continue to flourish is really exciting. Also the promos for this are on point - have you seen the trailer? It's a fucking bop in of itself! And I want the posters as postmodern art on my walls!

I'm booked in for the gala premiere at my local cinema in two days and I can't wait!
