03-16 - Films seen in March 2016

Disney modern animation which is bizarre to say the least in who the hell is this aimed at? The comedy elements are thin on the ground the invention is minimal and so we are left with a story which is well intentioned (bigotry/recism/stereotyping) but tedious for youngsters and only slightly less tedious for adults

I am struggling to see how anyone could find this even average

quirky drama horror thats a little bit hard to describe. Pauline an older sister of Grace is a little disturbed and devotes her time to researching a cure for her sisters cystic fibrosis...its almost a slice of life drama thing punctuated by grotesque dreams/visions

A surprisingly great performance, as Paulines mother, by notorious ex porn starlet Traci Lords is the standout of this...but its hard to relate much to the lead character who is quite well fleshed out as you have contrary feelings for her - both disgust and sympathy

A worthwhile little gem imho

this low budget horror started okay but descended downhill in the final act...it was like watching a tv movie in the 80s with some gore. I give credit where its due they did try to keep things off screen and some bits were different but it was all a bit average ultimately
