Avoid the PAL version on Wii Virtual Console (if you're European it's all you can get). It suffers from conversion from NTSC format greatly as in form of very noticeable slowdown. This affects the gameplay, and even worse, the fantastic music so that I don't find the game much fun to play. I haven't played the NTSC version on Wii but I imagine it should be just fine.
