Greek is ABC Family's Big Series on Campus, and these grade A episodes that conclude season 2 only confirm its must-see, must-own status. Greek suffered no sophomore slump. Most every character gets quality time. Sorority doyen Casey (Spencer Grammer) finds herself torn between solid and decent Max (Michael Rady) and the slacker, live-for-the-moment Cappie (Scott Michael Foster). Rusty (Jacob Zachar), Casey's geeky younger brother, falls for transfer student Jordan (Johanna Braddy), but she hooks up with new Kappa Tau pledge Andy (Jesse McCartney). Ashleigh (Amber Stevens) unsteadily wears the crown of ZBZ president, while nemesis Frannie (Tiffany Dupont) steps up her efforts to undermine her former sorority house. Evan (Jake McDorman) gives up his multimillion-dollar trust fund, while fundamentalist purity pledger Dale (Clark Duke) finds himself the object of a cougar realtor's lust. The writing is smart and the banter swift and rife with clever TV, movie, and pop culture references that invite repeat viewings. It all comes down to "the end of the world," a game-changing Kappa Tau bacchanal that serves as the dramatic backdrop to the season finale. Among the welcome developments this season are the friendship between Dale and Calvin (Paul James), who is gay, and a grudging truce of sorts between former best friends Cappie and Evan, who are both recruited to join the school's secret society of best and brightest. Greek's lighthearted treatment of underage drinking and sex could be a useful discussion starter for families, but the series does earn high marks for its positive portrayals of teachers. Janeane Garafalo and Dan Castellaneta get high marks for their guest turns. This three-disc set receives extra credit for its bonus features, including a segment that explores the "end of the world" theme. Duke and James steal the segment with a presumably profane bleeped response to a question of what they would do if they had but 24 hours to live. Hint: It involves cast member Dishad Vadsaria. --Donald Liebenson
