Algiers (Front Row Classics) - Region 0

Charles Boyer stars as Pepe Le Moko, a master criminal wanted in Paris for stealing jewels. He takes refuge in the Casbah, a notorious city in French Algiers that harbors criminals. The detective on the case, Inspector Slimane (Joseph Calleia) knows Pepe's whereabouts but prefers to bide his time and let Pepe come to him.

While in the Casbah, Pepe grows restless and tired of his devoted lover, Ines. He meets a beautiful tourist (Hedy Lamarr) and falls madly in love with her. Soon Pepe becomes careless, and is is only a matter of time before the inspector catches up with him.
