Book lists

As the old thread is more or less dead and full of clutter, I decided to bring you this shiny new one. :) I decided to start compiling lists of significant book series' (in size), and this is the place to list them along with other interesting lists such as awards which were included in the old thread. Also, I was thinking of starting bibliography lists of some authors works so that the chronology can be seen for their books, even if they are non-series.

Feel free to post your own and I will add them on when I can. :) I reserve the right to not add it if I don't think it is a list that will make any contribution. (Please no manga-only series lists. They are already numbered so that would be pointless. I am willing to consider genre manga lists though.)

I hope you don't mind me using the versions I did.
Leatherstocking series by James Fenimore Cooper
Trojan Saga
Sorted in order of fictional chronology. I'd really like to add more to the last one to be honest.

Updated it to include those posted. Thanks! :) I might get around to another couple at the weekend, but I've got a lot of revision to do so we shall see.

I'd like to see a Complete Works of Stephen King, if anyone is up to such a task. :)

Here you go Stephen King novels
If anyone goes through it and if you notice any missing (pretty sure I got them all but with that many books it's easy to miss some... I swear I went cross eyed) can you please let me know?

wow, i'm impressed. thanks, midnight!

No worries :) sometimes it helps to be really really bored but it was something I've been meaning to do anyway.

Series:
Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton ... Many authors in the urban fantasy genre are compared to this series and its author.
The Southern Vampires Series by Charlaine Harris
Temperance Brennan - forensic anthropologist series by Kathy Reichs
Vampire Huntress Legend Series by LA Banks
Women of the Otherworld Series - urban fantasy by Kelley Armstrong
Authors
Chuck Palahniuk - fiction and non-fiction
Edit: I've also given a vote to pretty much every list in this thread in the event that those with most votes become most visible.

Thanks for those votes, guys! Particularly Voxy, Ipanema and Munky, because they're the ones who voted.
I've made a list of the project, The Writings of Henry D. Thoreau, in which everything is eventually planned to be published. All of it. I have the hardbacks and the new paperback ones as well. Does anyone have an idea of what'll happen to this list after Tom changes Books?

My pleasure, Thilian.... And thanks to Munky for the votes as well.
Series
The Weather Warden Series - urban fantasy by Rachel Caine
Rachel Morgan - urban fantasy by Kim Harrison
Authors
Bret Easton Ellis
Kurt Vonnegut - Complete Works - it's quite likely I missed some here, so any help on that would be appreciated.

Sandrick, in the future, maybe you could just edit the last post you did when they are that close together.

The Writings of Henry D. Thoreau. The link in my other post would still be relevant if I hadn't entered the wrong title when making the list. Whatever you put at first, that sticks by as the link for all of time. Same thing with item entries you create.

I've been working on a bunch of books lists:
Jane Austen
Nancy Drew: Original and Simon and Schuster
Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta Series
Famous Five Series
Dark Hunter Series
Tintin

Tintin

I love that TinTin collection. I read every single one as a kid, but never collected them. All except the first two, I think.

Catherine Cookson Novels
Charles Dickens Novels
I realise few people will have the Cookson obsession that I do; but Dickens surely?

Hi, I'm new so I thought I would contribute my own list to the list:
[Link removed - login to see]
which include a series of SF/F/Vampire fusion books, four of which will be released at the end of the month; and a nonfiction book on the life and work of Miyamoto Musashi.
I realize they are new and not yet "significant", but I feel I must blow my own horn. *Blush* :).

Loeb Classical Library
A sect of Harvard University Press, the Loeb Classical Library translates and makes relevant classic Greek and Latin texts for antiquity's sake. The number of Loeb volumes to date are about 500. I'm not too far from completion but the list is unfinished nonetheless.
EDIT: Your list link is awry, this is the one you meant, T. M. Moore: { www.listal.com/list/books-t-m-moore }. It's nice to have authors and others active in media communities on Listal. It brings a level of authenticity to the place and allows for items to be personally represented. Only the creator of an item can provide factual content on their material that isn't quoted from a friend of a friend of a source.

Looks like everyone has been busy lately (or since I've been sparsely active). I will be updating my list of lists in the first post in the next week when I a) Get internet in my flat or b) drag my laptop to the library. Whichever comes first. And then I shall jump on getting a couple more lists made up. :)

After a long interval, and my computer crapping out on me half way through the first time, we are finally updated.
I added a new section in, but any ideas on how the lists should be sorted are welcome. As is any input on what should be listed with the entries, such as the author of the series, and the like.

A few booklists I've made over the past week:
The Blending Series by Sharon Green
The Riftwar Saga by Raymond Fiest and others
Reading Camelot - stories based on Arthurian characters and legends

Updated again to include new lists by spiegalr and Elfflame. Plus I added in my new lists, which include all of the past Richard & Judy book clubs for general popular reading ideas, and a new collection from Penguin called Penguin Great Loves, which I received today. :)
