This political satire saw Tintin going to Russia and featured Hergé's distrust of the Soviet Union. It wasn't re-published after it's first run.

Tintin and Snowy venture to the Congo. In modern times, this book has been criticized for it's racist themes and colonial mentality. Hergé himself admits that the comic was influenced by his employers and regards it as one of his "sins of youth".

Tintin is a young reporter who goes around having adventures. The comics are set in the 1920 - 1930 period and is full of action and humor. I loved these comics as child and even from time to time find myself reading them.
This is an old series - first comic was published in 1930 (i think) and the last one in the late 70s so it's very much a product of its time but still a good read.

Flight 714 was third to the last followed by Tintin and the Picaros and Tintin and Alph-Art...so you're not really missing a lot.
