Picture of Anthony Perkins

Anthony Perkins and Sophia Loren at the Cannes Film Festival, May 18th, 1961. Both stars won the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) award at the festival that year, Perkins for his performance in Goodbye Again (aka: Aimez-vous Brahms?) and Loren for her performance in Two Women (aka: La Ciociara). Tony and Sophia starred together the following year in the harrowing drama Five Miles to Midnight, directed by Anatole Litvak. Sophia’s husband, film producer Carlo Ponti, can be seen sitting next to her on the right in photo one.
