Rita Hayworth is shown here in the following photos modeling the world's most expensive dress at the time (1940). The dress is made from over 40,000 cultured pearls and weighed over 30 lbs. The value of the dress was more than $250,000. After a nationwide tour the dress was auctioned off for The Red Cross and other War Relief Efforts.
