SACRIFICED FOR ART -- This perfectly good taxicab was ruined when it was catapulted from one of the docks at Santa Monica, Calif., in a scene for Paramount's DAUGHTER OF SHANGHAI. Anna May Wong, who portrays the leading role in the picture, stepped out of it just as it started to move & the sleeve of her gown was torn off when it caught on one of the door handles. The car was salvaged & taken to the studio where it was an object of much interest, particularly to the actress who is photographed with it.
