Maria pictured at Madame Bikiโs fashion salon in Milan, 1958. The aforementioned Mme Biki (seen on the left) was one of the most renowned designers of her era, having worked with almost all stars of the Golden Age. Having met Callas for the first time while She was still to legendarily lose weight, the designer refused to help with any fittings or stylizations. However, some time afterwards, a completely changed Maria re-entered the Milanese salon, showing off Her beautiful new figure and femininity. From then on, Biki and Callas would collaborate for many more years to come.
La Divinaโs wardrobe consisted (besides Biki) mostly of pieces by YSL, Balenciaga, Dior and, of course, Chanel.
