Review of Inherent Vice (2014)

See I always confuse the Directors Paul Thomas Anderson, Paul W.S. Anderson, and Wes Anderson because they all have similar names. They are quite different filmmakers for sure though. I was curious about this one so I checked it out thanks to my awesome job at the local theater. This movie was pretty weird and at the same time hilarious and highly entertaining. The dialogue was pretty great as well as the interactions between the characters. There were tons of characters here although some were quite brief albeit pivotal the story. All of them were quite interesting and different. Some things don't make a lot of sense and get lost in translation like character motivations for example. I liked that there were some references to Warner Bros like characters and a few phrases. It's interesting how things seemingly unrelated are in some way connected. I don't really like Maya Rudolph at all so I am glad her role was limited to be frank. Katherine Waterston looks like she is in her 20s here, but she is actually in her mid 30s! Anyways I really loved it even though I will be checking it out a few more times and maybe get some things I didn't get the first time. I highly suggest giving this a check out.

SN: Joaquin Phoenix looked like drugged out version of Wolverine here haha.
